Don't Write Me Off Update
Over the past few months we’ve been working hard to make sure that the new Government knows about the Don’t Write Me Off campaign. We’ve been talking Ministers and staff at Jobcentre Plus about the support adults with autism need when they can’t work and the support they need to find a job when they can.
As part of this, we’ve responded to two important consultations on the Work Capability Assessment (WCA), which is the assessment used to decide who gets Employment and Support Allowance (ESA). The Government used these consultations to find out how well the WCA is working: we told them what we think needs to change to make sure the system works for adults with autism. You can read our responses in full by downloading the documents at the bottom of this page.
