Don't Write Me Off reception in Wales
18 November 2009
On 18 November, we launched Don't Write Me Off to Welsh Assembly Members (AMs) in an event in Cardiff. Janet Ryder AM, Chair of the Cross Party Autism Group spoke at the event and the audience also heared from Sylvia Penny, whose son David has struggled to get the support he needs to access benefits or find a job since leaving university.
We are asking AMs to support the campaign by:
- signing the Welsh Assembly Statement of Opinion on autism, work and the benefit system
- raising the issues mentioned in Don't Write Me Off within the Welsh Assembly
- contacting the Minister for Health and Social Services about Don't Write Me Off.
Please take a moment to email your AMs now, and ask them to support the campaign!
