Thomas worked in IT for many years, until his role was made redundant. When he started his career, he was given support from a service specifically designed to help people with autism and Asperger syndrome into work. This service was appropriate to his needs and helped him to find a long-term job which he enjoyed. However, since being made redundant he has struggled to find a similar service which caters specifically for his Asperger syndrome and has been unable to find another job.
