In 2008 Craig was dismissed from his job working for an ambulance service after telling them he has Asperger syndrome. He claimed Employment and Support Allowance while looking for another job, but found the process lengthy and difficult. He didn’t receive the money he was entitled to during the assessment period, so was left without anything to live on for over three months.
